Ether, chemical name diethyl ether,  is a chemical that was once used as an anesthetic, is used as a solvent in laboratory situations, and was/is used as a recreational drug.

It is extremely flammable and may cause explosions. 

 

Legality:

Probably not legal. Research Needed.
